BMHA ANNUAL MEETING

On Tuesday June 28^th, 2011, BMHA had it Annual General Meeting.

 Approximately 25 Members and other Guests were in attendance.  The first order of business, as it is every year, was to recognize certain players and other individuals with an award ceremony.  This is a very pleasant and happy part of the meeting especially seeing some of our younger players receive their plaques.

 The official part of the meeting was relatively uneventful but your Board was pleased to report a successful financial result with a slight positive excess of revenue over expenditures of about $20,000.  It is good that it is positive but not overwhelmingly so given that BMHA processes about $800,000.00 in its fiscal year.  Being a non profit, we did have a relatively balanced income and expense report.

 Our balance sheet remains strong with enough cash to continue to provide for the capital requirements of the organization without worry.

 BMHA had seven Board positions up for election this year.  Five existing Board Members let their names stand for re-election and we had two new Board Members elected.  We would like to welcome Tara George and Chris Bardwell to the Board of Directors at BMHA.  We have a full slate of eleven Board Members going into the new year.

 Belleville Minor Hockey would like to thank everyone for making last  year a very successful year and we look forward to repeating this success in the 2011-2012 season.
