In the final game of regular season play,
the Carpet One Atom Minor A Junior Bulls pulled out all the stops to win big
against the Oshawa Generals. It took
just shy of five minutes into the first for Belleville to find its feet and the
back of the net and it was Brett Foley who started the scoring off thanks to a
great pass from Griffin Leveque. Will Brennan followed up with a goal of his own off of a pass from
defence-man Damian Hallam to close the first period out at 2-0. Rushing to the net, Ben Duvall tried to
make pylons out of his opponents a few times, but it was a well-timed pass from
Captain Brett Foley that put him on the score sheet half-way through the second
period. The dynamo-duo of Leveque
and Foley patiently chipped away in front of the net to bury one making it 4-0
at the end of the second. Ben Duvall wasted no time at the top of the third by backhanding in a
successful rebound. With all of

returned from a few well-deserved weeks off ready to play. The team pulled together and worked
hard to post a pair of wins against Quinte West and Kingston respectively.
After a tense and scoreless first period
against Quinte West, Brett Foley put the Bulls on the scoreboard deep into the
second thanks to passes from Ben Duvall and Griffin Leveque. Midway through the third, Dakota
Digenova’s moves paid off and he scored Belleville’s final goal of the game
with Will Brennan and Riley St-Pierre logging assists. Props to net-minders Scott Fleming and
Ethan Fraser who shared the shut out in the 2-0 win. A special shout-out goes to alternate player Ben Smith who
earned the hardhat for his great effort.
Facing Kingston for the third and final
time of regular season play, the Junior Bulls needed a win after previous
match-ups against ended in a loss and a tie. Kingston put up a solid defence and spectacular goal
With high hopes, the Carpet One Atom Minor A Junior Bulls travelled to Cobourg for the 2011 Cobourg Silver Stick tournament. The team had a few close games, but managed to win all three games to earn top spot in their pool and a game against Kingston in the semi-finals.
Highlights of round-robin play include wins against the Ottawa Sting (3-1), Leitrim Hawks (2-0), and Whitby Blue (2-1) with a nod to Goalie Scott Fleming for the shutout in game 2. The line-up of forwards Joe Bardwell (1G), Matt Visser (1G) and Zach Ellis (1A) continued to find the net regularly, scoring two of the three goals against Ottawa thanks to some good passes from defenseman Damian Hallam (2A), while Will Brennan and Ryan Chapelle closed the game out putting goal number three on the board. Despite spending most of the game in Leitrim's end, it took a dare-devilish dangling deke from Riley St. Pierre to put Belleville on the board. The Carpet One Atom Minor A Junior Bulls continued their success home and away with wins against Ajax and Quinte West. In play against Ajax, Ben Duvall put Belleville on the scoreboard with a short-handed goal well into the first period. Ajax fought hard to keep things close and put loads of pressure on goalies, Ethan Fraser and Scott Fleming, who each had impressive crowd-pleasing saves throughout the game. Ben Duvall followed up his opening goal with a confident pass to Brett Foley who chipped it in. Griffin Leveque, playing smart and fast scored twice, while Will Brennan and Riley St. Pierre closed the game with a goal apiece in the third for a final score of 6-2.
On home ice at the Wally Dever, the Junior Bulls thought they’d save some ice by playing their entire game in one end of the rink with a huge 9-0 victory over Quinte-West. With all lines contributing to the score sheet, the game was a fabulous show of teamwork. Matt Visser came out on

re-match with the Whitby White’s saw them fall to our Junior Bulls thanks to goals
from Griffin Leveque, Riley St. Pierre, Brett Foley, and Ben Duvall for a final

loudest cheering voices to spur on the Junior Bulls against the current top

determination and grit of two time goal-scorer Griffin Leveque and fellow sharp
shooters Will Brennan and Riley St. Pierre. Dakota Digenova, Brett Foley, Ben Duvall, and Will Brennan’s
names littered the game-sheet with multiple assists.
It has been a rough couple of weekends for
the Carpet One Atom Minor A Junior Bulls who lost their first two games in
league play last weekend. The
first blow was dealt to the Junior Bulls by Cobourg in a stunner of a 4-0 loss,
followed by a 4-3 loss to Whitby White. Riley St-Pierre did his best to shine a big bright light on his fellow
Bulls by scoring a spectacular hat trick against the Whitby White team with the
help of Zach Ellis, Joe Bardwell, Brett Foley, and Dakota Digenova who provided
the assists.
Eager for a comeback, the Junior Bulls went
in to this weekend’s Centre Hastings One Day Tournament full of optimism. The Junior Bulls came out strong and
held their own through much of the first period, but the size and speed of the
Napanee Atom BB team proved too much. Despite blocking an incredible barrage of shots, Goalie Ethan Fraser and
his defensive team were beat to an 8-0 loss. Game Two of the tournament saw the Junior Bulls face the
