An exciting finish helped advance the International Truckload Services Tyke Jr. Bulls into a Lakeshore semi-final match up with the Pickering Panthers. This past Sunday in quarter final action, the Jr Bulls ousted the Clarington Thunder in "edge of your seat” fashion with Trevor Hoskin scoring the winner 34 seconds into overtime to end the series in 4 games. On the road, game 2 of the series ended in a 4-4 tie with Bulls goals going to Corbin Roach with 2, Hoskin and Cooper Matthews. Helpers went to Nathan Woods 2, Hoskin 2, Roach and Ryan Bakker. Back home for game 3, the Jr Bulls came out on top with a 4-2 win. Goals came from Carter Lee, Jacoby Martin, Roach and Hoskin while assists went to Donovan McCoy, Woods, Roach and Hoskin. As mentioned previously, game 4 back in Clarington ended in dramatic fashion with a 4-3 overtime win. The International Truckload Services Tyke Jr Bulls started their playoff season off on the right foot. In quarter final action Sunday vs Clarington 2, the Jr Bulls got the first 2 points of the 6 point series with a 2-0 home win. The Jr Bulls got the winner early with Cooper Matthews scoring 30 seconds into the game from Ethan Geen. Trevor Hoskin added the insurance marker early in the third. The shut out performance by Brady Spry was helped by solid defense work by Rheydon & Donovan McCoy, Nathan Woods and Ryan Bakker. The Jr Bulls series continues next Saturday on the road in Clarington.
The International Truckload Service Tyke Jr. Bulls hit the ground skating in 2012. Competing in the largest Tyke tournament of the season at the 32 team - CUJO Invitational in Newmarket this past weekend, the Bulls skated away with a hard earned Silver medal. A great combination of hard for-checking, sound defense and great goaltending by Brady Spry helped the Tyke’s to their best results of the season. Game one versus Aurora was a 6-2 victory. Corbin Roach led the way with 3 goals while others went to Trevor Hoskin with 2 and Jacoby Martin. Assists were provided by Mason Cruickshank, Ethan Geen, Donovan McCoy, Hoskin and Nathan Woods. Ajax was the next team to fall 6-4 with goals going to Hoskin 2, Roach 2, Martin and Cooper Matthews. Helpers went to Roach 2, Reed Anderson and Hoskin. The International Truckload Services Tyke Jr. Bulls split a pair of games this past weekend in Lakeshore League play. Saturday, the Bulls came out on the wrong side of a 5-1 loss to the Pickering Panthers. Cooper Matthews had the lone goal in the defeat. Things turned around on Sunday as the Bulls were much stronger in their 6-4 victory over Clarington 1. Goal scorers were Trevor Hoskin and Corbin Roach with 2 a piece while singles went to Nathan Woods and Jacoby Martin. Chipping in with helpers were Hoskin 2, Woods, Martin, Mason Duvall, Matthews and Marcus Asimis. The Tyke’s are now off until the new year with a double header Jan 2 in Whitby and the Cujo Invitational tournament in Newmarket Jan 6-8.
